Infant Mortality Brand Campaign

HEALTHY CHOICES = HEALTHY BABIES [TM]

In February 2009 , Blacksonville’s Grant and Research Team began interviewing local professionals and students to gage their awareness of infant mortality here in Jacksonville, Florida. The effort was inspired by a first time federal government allotment of $1 million dollars (of which only 30k was appropriated to Jacksonville, highest in the state of Florida, in the world’s leading county).  Not to our surprise, many of the participants were startled that the infant mortality rate in Jacksonville was 1 death out of every 17 children born in 2008.

Below we encourage the community to Think, Read, and Build friendships to take part in our push for systemic change. We ask your support for an” Super Bowl-like” internet, media and brand campaign to share, educate, and actively get involved as a mentor, volunteer, or community ambassador.
